About Us

Welcome — we're glad you're here.

This shop was born from a simple belief: what we bring into our homes should mean something. I'm Valentina Basile, a veteran, a proud Mi'kmaq from the Elsipogtog First Nation, and a single mother raising my two daughters here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Twelve years ago, I set out to build a home for my girls in this high desert landscape, and along the way, this place — surrounded by mountains, open sky, and quiet mornings — taught me that I needed to slow down and live with intention if I was ever going to find joy in l life.

Parenthood has a way of clarifying what actually matters. Between the daily rhythm of raising two daughters and the discipline I carried from my years of service, I found myself drawn to a simpler kind of living — one without excess, without clutter, without things that don't serve a purpose. Every object in our home is here because it was chosen, not just acquired. That mindset became the heart of this business.

Each product we offer is handpicked, not mass collected. We believe in quality over quantity, but also in giving some variety, as everyone's tastes are different — by curating pieces that are useful, beautiful, and built to last, rather than filling shelves for the sake of it. Our goal is simple: to help you build a home and a life that feel like yours, free of waste and full of meaning.

This isn't just a store to me. It's an extension of the values I try to live by every day — resilience, presence, and purpose — the same ones I hope to pass on to my daughters. If you find yourself drawn to a calm, more thoughtful way of living, we hope you'll find something here that resonates with you too.

Thank you for supporting a small, woman- and veteran-owned business. Welcome to our home — and to yours.
